AS the Gulder Ultimate Search season 12 (GUS 12) comes to a close on Sunday, December 19, and the last three contestants set to unearth the bowels of Ijuka land to retrieve the hidden secret buried by a mysterious craftsman named Akolo it was end of road for Racheal Omokhafe Bello and Chidimma Okeibe, who became the last woman standing, as they became the 14th and 15th contestants to be evicted from this year’s show.
Rachael was kicked out of the survival reality show a day earlier after failing the day’s task — Splash, which came with a N100,000 cash reward for the last man or woman standing. It was won by Odudu Otu. Chidinma was sent packing on Sunday just after coming last in the day’s task tagged ‘The Combination of Locks’, which was won by Damola Johnson.
The duo’s exit from the show comes after Esitima Edem, Solomon Yankari, Osasere Agbonile, Jennifer Okorie, and Tosin Emiola were evicted from the jungle in the past weeks. It also follows after the eviction of Tobechukwu Okoye and Opeyemi Ishmael on November 21 and 22 respectively.
With the latest eviction, there are three contestants left in the race for the show’s N50 million grand prize. The final three contestants are Odedina Damilola, Odudu Ime Otu and Damola Johnson.
This year’s edition of the show is themed ‘The Age of Craftsmanship’ and involved a total of 18 contestants. Initially, 16 contestants were unveiled by Gideon Okeke, during the unveiling ceremony but in a new twist, two other contestants were added as wildcards.
With the Boomerang Effect at play and either Chidinma Okeibe, Tosin Michael Emiola, Esitima Francis Edem or Osasere ‘Osas’ Agbonile stands a chance to return to the jungle. This depends on the viewers’ decision, which would be based on their votes. The question is, who will the Boomerang favour?
