MOTHERS have been told that turning a blind eye to their daughter’s expensive lifestyles has very serious consequences.
Nollywood actor, Sam Nnabuike, dropped the advise on his Instagram story today.
He warned that such negligence has both physical and spiritual implications.
He was echoing the thoughts of a number of family counsellors who have variously preached against parents allowing their children free rein during their impressionable stages in life. He particularly talked about those who do not care even when they see their children living above their means.
The actor wrote: “Mothers, your daughters are back home to the villages bearing all kinds of foodstuff and cash gifts worth over 100k naira.”
“You have never seen her in her official office attire nor has she sent you a picture of her office space or company premises yet she tells you she works in an oil firm.”
“You have an inkling that she’s warming several men’s beds in the city but you would rather not talk about it for fear of losing out on the goodie bags.”
According to the actor, there are physical and spiritual hazards that come with turning a blind eye to such things and the indulgent parents should be ready when the chicken comes home to roost.
