GOVERNOR Babajide Sanwo-Olu, today embarked on an inspection tour of Blue and Red lines Rail projects at Ikeja, Yaba, Ebute Metta and Marina Stations expressing delight with the pace of works.

Sanwo-Olu stated that he was impressed with on going construction in the stations and the contractors were on course, hoping that they would round up works according to schedule for commercial activities this year.

He said the inspection tour to the Blue and Red line stations was in regards to the promise made by his administration to monitor the pace of works in the areas on a quarterly basis advising people to stop selling along the rail tracks.

The governor also commended the contractors for keeping up with the timeline at the stations visited as they had been given a marching order to that effect adding that before the end of the year rail tracks would have been laid.

Sanwo-Olu also paid a surprise visit to Small London in Shitta, Surulere, where a food outreach programme was held aimed at bringing succour to the vulnerable, as part of the BOS Christmas initiative which he launched at Yuletide targeting to reach thirty thousand in seven days across thirty communities.
