ACE fuji artiste and actor, Akorede Babatunde Okunola, popularly known as Saheed Osupa, has completed studies for a bachelor of science degree in political science from the University of Ibadan.
The singer who completed his studies on Friday, January 28, took to the social media to shared pictures of him and his coursemates “signing out.”
“You don’t have to see the whole staircase; just take the first step for the best view comes after the hardest climb.
“Signing out in style. Alihamdulilai Robil Alamin. I am grateful. BSc Political Science in the bag. University of Ibadan!” the 52-year old fuji artist wrote on his Instagram page.
Famed for his dense wordplay and infusion of proverbs in his music, the Olufimo as he is also called has established himself as one of the most successful fuji musicians to cross over into the Yoruba movie industry, having featured in at least 10 movies.
He has released over 35 albums including Master Blaster and Stainless Fuji.
In 2013, he won Yoruba Academy Awards for the Best Musician in an Acting Role and the City People Entertainment Awards for the Best Fuji Musician of the Year.
In 2019, Saheed Osupa picked up the Yoruba Image International Awards for the Best Fuji Musician of the Year.
