PREMIUM Motor Spirit (PMS) queues have returned to filling stations in Lagos, the Federal Capital Territory and Ogun State.
Our Correspondent noticed fuel queues in Ajah, Lekki, and Victoria Island yesterday evening, as the situation was beginning to spread to the mainland areas of Lagos, while the same situation was noticed in Sango-Ota, Mowe, Ibafo and Arepo axis along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
In Ajah, the NNPC mega station and all the filling stations except Oando, along the Lekki – Ajah expressway, shut their gates against motorists, while long queues were noticed at a few stations that were selling the product for motorists.
Queues have also return to parts of Abuja too.
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) had a few days ago in a press release issued by its Group General Manager, Public Affairs Division, Garba Deen Muhammad told Nigerians not to panic, assuring them that it has sufficient PMS stock to meet their needs.
Muhammed also charged Nigerians not to engage in panic buying of petrol, urging them to ignore all rumours that may suggest otherwise.
