WILFRED Ndidi scored his first goal of the season on Thursday night while Ademola Lookman also made a goal contribution as Leicester City dispatched Randers 4-1 at the King Power Stadium.

Super Eagles midfielder Ndidi netted the first goal in the UEFA Europa Conference League playoffs first leg clash, while Lookman bagged two assists.

Lookman, whose application to switch allegiance to Nigeria was recently approved by FIFA, assisted Ndidi’s goal and also set up Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s strike for the Foxes.

The third Nigeria international at Leicester City, Kelechi Iheanacho, played the last 26 minutes of the clash after replacing Zambia striker Patson Daka, who scored one of the goals.

In a UEFA Europa League playoffs clash also on Thursday night, Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo played a major role as Rangers defeated Borussia Dortmund 4-2 in Germany.

Aribo was impressive in the Rangers midfield and he assisted Alfredo Morelos for the Scottish champions’ second goal.

The Super Eagles star made way for Aaron Ramsey with four minutes left while fellow Nigeria international Calvin Bassey played the full game in central defence. Leon Balogun missed the game through injury.

In a UEFA Europa Conference League playoffs clash, Super Eagles forward Peter Olayinka wore the captain’s armband as Slavia Prague defeated Fenerbahce 3-2 in the first leg in Turkey.

Olayinka played the full game, the same as Bright Osayi-Samuel who featured for Fenerbahce.

Also on Thursday night, Super Eagles forward Henry Onyekuru played for 85 minutes for Olympiacos as they surrendered the lead to lose 2-1 at Atalanta in their UEFA Europa League playoffs first leg encounter.
