FOLLOWING the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, former Big Brother Naija housemate Nina Ivy has slammed Nigerians complaining about being trapped in the embattled country.
In a post shared via her Instagram Stories, he reality TV star wondered why people always wait for the last minute before they act.
The mother of one wrote, “Why do people always wait for last-minute before running to safety. Russia being threatening Ukraine for weeks now and most foreigners didn’t think it’s wise to go back to their countries.”
“Everywhere is hot in Ukraine right now and they are running to the airport and train stations to do what exactly, please?”
“I feel like it’s good to take the necessary steps while you still can than waiting till the dying minute before realising you need to move. It’s common sense.”
Naijatimes had reported that on Thursday morning, Russia launched a military operation after the self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Luhansk requested assistance in countering the aggression of the Ukrainian government forces.
The Russian Defence Ministry said the operation was targeting the military infrastructure of Ukraine, and the civilian population was not in danger.
