SOME former Nigerian internationals have reportedly thrown their weight behind the presidential ambition of former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu.
The ex-Super Eagles stars, led by former skippers, Peter Rufai, Austin Okocha and Nwankwo Kanu showed their support for Tinubu yesterday when they visited his Bourdillon residence in Lagos.
In a video trending online, former AC Milan defender, now preacher, Taribo West, was seen praying for Tinubu’s aspirations while his colleagues echoed ‘amen’.
The visit is said to be a prelude to a novelty match the former football stars organised to honour Tinubu on his 70th birthday.
The match is scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, by 2pm at Onikan Stadium, Lagos.

Recall that some of these former players had last year reportedly backed the quest of Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
They also featured in a novelty match organised by the Kogi Governor.
Okocha, Rufai, Kanu, West, Tijani Babangida and Mutiu Adepoju took part in the game that ended 1-1.
