FG reveals $600m digital, creative enterprises

THE Federal Government has finalized plans to launch a new initiative called ‘Investing in Digital and Creative Enterprises’ with a commitment of more than $600 million to help young people develop their skills.

It also encouraged the youths to seize the opportunity with all feeling of devotion and tenacity for the country’s overall good in its march to industrial and economic glory.

Umar Bindir, the National Coordinator of the Social Investment Programme, revealed this at the fifth National Tourism Transportation Summit and Expo in Abuja, noting that the initiative aims to train youths in a variety of skills.

Bindir also stated: “We have established a N75 billion National Youth Investment Fund that will provide financial support for small businesses in all fields of human endevaour,” adding that with digital and creative enterprises the dreams of young people will come alive.He declared:

“The administration, in pursuant of the goal to equip the youth in gainful and meaningful employment and job opportunities, recently partnered the United Nations Development Programme, the European Union and Nigerian organised private sector to start the Jubilee Fellows Internship Programme.”
