THOMAS Partey has described the World Cup playoffs goal he scored against Nigeria as the best moment of his career.

The Arsenal midfielder scored Black Stars’ only goal in a 1-1 draw with the Super Eagles in Abuja in March to secure his country’s ticket to the Qatar 2022 World Cup scheduled for November and December.

The first leg of the tie had ended 0-0 in Kumasi and the 1-1 result in Abuja saw Ghana through on the away goals rule.

Although his effort went in as a result of Nigeria goalkeeper Francis Uzoho’s error, Partey is proud of his strike.

“I’ll say it’s the most important goal in my career at the moment,” Partey told Joy FM in Ghana.

“It’s a goal that took us to the World Cup so I feel happy, the whole team feels happy and the country is happy, so it’s a joy to be the one to score that goal. I feel blessed and I feel happy.”

Ghana are in Group H for the World Cup, where they will face Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea.
