EMMANUEL Dennis could play in the Premier League next season as West Ham are reportedly keen on a move for the Super Eagles star.
Watford, Dennis’ club, were relegated from the English top flight last season after finishing second from bottom, and they will play in the second-tier Championship in the new campaign.
However, the Nigeria international was one of Watford’s standout players despite their poor run, emerging as their top scorer in the Premier League with 10 goals and six assists in 33 appearances.
Dennis’ performances have not gone unnoticed, and West Ham have been strongly linked with a move for the 24-year-old Nigerian.
The Athletic reported last night that the Hammers are prepared to make an offer of £18m plus £2m in add-ons for the forward.
West Ham see Dennis as a good option in the attack as he can play as a wide forward and main striker.
He would complement Michail Antonio, Jarrod Bowen and the other forwards at the club as they chase honours in the Premier League and the UEFA Europa Conference League next season.
Dennis joined Watford from Club Brugge last July for €4m on a contract that will expire in June 2026.
He is currently with the Super Eagles squad who will face Sao Tome and Principe in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier today in Agadir, Morocco.
