A RENOWNED print media journalist and production manager, Michael Olusesan Awe, has passed on.
The journalist also reknowned for his popular column, Michael West, which commented on marital and family issues, was said to have died in a motor accident along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Saturday, June 11.
He was said to have “breathed his last at the Ogun State Teaching Hospital, Sagamu.”
A release from Israel Ayo Awe, on behalf of the family, reads: “It is with great sadness but total submission to the will of God that the entire AWE Family of Akure, Akure South Local Government Area Ondo State announces the passing away of our son, brother, and father Michael Olusesan Awe (a k a Michael West).
He was born on the 10th September, 1963 in Akure, Ondo state and died on Saturday, June 11, 2022.
Mike, as he was fondly called by friends and admirers, was involved in a ghastly motor accident along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Saturday, June 11.
He breathed his last at the Ogun State Teaching Hospital, Sagamu. Mike is survived by an aged mother, children and siblings. Burial arrangements will be announced later.
