TOTTENHAM Hotspur have completed the signing of Richarlison from Everton, while Manchester City have acquired new goalkeeper Ortega Moreno.
The two deals were both announced this morning through the clubs’ official channels.
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Richarlison from Everton, subject to a work permit,” Tottenham Hotspur stated on their official website.
“The Brazilian international has signed a contract with us until 2027.”
Richarlison, 25, has made 173 Premier League appearances with Watford and Spurs combined, scoring 48 goals, since joining the former from Fluminense in August, 2017.
The versatile forward joined Fluminense in January, 2016, scoring 11 goals in 46 appearances and was named in the Campeonato Carioca Team of the Year after helping his side reach the final of the competition in his second season.
In August, 2017, Richarlison made the switch to Watford and in his first season featured in every one of their 38 Premier League fixtures, earning himself a move to Everton where he marked his debut with a brace in a 2-2 draw against Wolves.
He can play as either a wide attacker or centre forward and will add to Tottenham’s strong forward line that already includes Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura.
Richarlison, who scored 10 League goals last season as Everton escaped relegation, has made 36 senior appearances for Brazil, scoring 14 goals.
He is believed to have cost Tottenham a hefty £50m in transfer fee.
On their part, City signed Moreno as a free agent.
“Manchester City have completed the signing of goalkeeper Stefan Ortega Moreno on a three-year deal,” the club announced.
“The 29-year-old has joined the Club on a free transfer after his contract at Arminia Bielefeld expired.
“The experienced German bolsters City’s goalkeeping options and becomes the second signing of the summer, following Erling Haaland to the Club. He will wear the number 18 shirt.”
Ortega Moreno says the chance to join City was an opportunity he could not miss.
“This is a fantastic move for me,” he said. “Manchester City are an amazing team – a squad with world-class quality in every area. To be given the chance to join this group of players and help continue the Club’s success is a dream for me,” he said.
