The studio will be rebranded as Nintendo Pictures, according to the announcement made by Nintendo on Thursday, July 14, 2022.

The video game company has agreed to buy 100 percent of outstanding shares of Dynamo in order to speed up its focus on the “development of visual content utilizing Nintendo IP.”  They also added that buying Dynamo would

“have only a minor effect on Nintendo’s results for this fiscal year.”

If all conditions are met, the deal is expected to close by October 3, 2022.
