INDIGENOUS rapper/singer, Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike better known by his stage moniker, Phyno has come through with a new single titled Full Current.

The songwriter and record producer collaborates with Nigerian music heavyweight and dancehall artiste, Augustine Miles Kelechi, professionally known as Tekno, who killed the beat with his distinctive flow.

Produced by Yung Willis and released yesterday, the Afrobeats hit is a song that will warm your heart and urge you to add to your playlist. The song is already going viral and becoming the new sound to enjoy.

The record, which has some element of amapiano, a hybrid of deep house, jazz and lounge music characterised by synths, airy pads and wide percussive basslines, distinguished by high-pitched Electric/Rhodes piano melodies, Kwaito basslines that emerged in South African in 2012, is already going viral and becoming the new sound to enjoy.

Phyno started his music career as a producer in 2003, and is renowned for rapping in the Igbo language. His debut studio album No Guts No Glory was released in 2014. It was supported by four singles: Ghost Mode, Man of the Year, Parcel and O Set.

Prior to recording singles like What are you waiting for and Multiply featuring Mr. Raw, Timaya and M.I, Phyno worked with artistes such as Olamide, Wizkid, Davido, Timaya, Flavour, Ruggedman, Bracket, J. Martins and Mr Raw.

Full Current is coming after the successful release of his 2021 album Something to Live For, which features many guest appearances including The Cavemen, Peruzzi, D Smoke, Olamide, Jay Teazer, Flavour, J’ Dess, Pappy Kojo, BeePee and Anjulie.
