The Nigeria Football Federation will hold its 77th Annual General Assembly tomorrow in Lagos, the body has announced.

The event was initially scheduled for December last year and then tentatively billed for Yenagoa, Bayelsa State earlier this month.

The original December date had to be shelved as a result of an ex parte injunction issued by a Federal High Court in Yenagoa following the filing of a suit by some football stakeholders seeking to expand the NFF hierarchy.

The issue has been resolved and tomorrow’s event will be held at the Best Western Plus Hotel, Victoria Island.

The assembly will have in attendance the chairmen and secretaries of the 44 members of the NFF (Football Associations of all the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, the leagues, Coaches Association; Referees Association and the Players’ Union) and members of the NFF Executive Committee.

The General Assembly will consider a roadmap towards this year’s Elective Congress of the Nigeria Football Federation, as well as such items as may be proposed by the members of the Executive Committee.

The date and venue of the Elective Congress will be decided at tomorrow’s Annual General Assembly.

The elections are expected to be held in September, with incumbent president Amaju Pinnick declaring recently that he would not be seeking a third term.
