IT’s safe to say my literary journey started long before I started penning down my thoughts, however, it started actively last year, with the launch of my book, “The Riddle of the Oil Thief”. The journey has been a beautiful one that has brought me people and experiences that are in themselves stories worth telling.

James Currey FEstival

This weekend, I joined other outstanding writers, poets, critics and the entire literati across Africa and the diaspora to participate in the inaugural James Currey Literary Festival in Oxford, United Kingdom.

The James Currey Literary Festival is organized by The James Currey Society, African Studies Centre (University of Oxford) and the Weston Library, Bodleian Libraries, University of Oxford, all of which is a brain child of Professor Onyeka Nwelue, the Director of the James Currey Soceity.

In the first photo, as the only literary African King in attendance, I was honored to decorate with a Chieftaincy, Professor James Currey, in whose honor the literary festival is being celebrated, in acknowledgement and celebration of the life and legacy of Professor James Currey, co-founder of the African Writers Series and patron of African Literature.
