THE ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has cancelled its Wednesday kick-off campaign for the 2023 election.
Director-General of Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) and Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong made the cancellation following complaints within the party about the membership of the Council.
Lalong in a statement made available to NaijaTimes said the postponement was to allow the party accommodate more members in the PCC.
The development confirm earlier report about the National Working Committee (NWC) protest over what the members said was the unilateral decision of the candidate to include names in the list while excluding others.
NaijaTimes gathered that the party’s national chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, who is reportedly unhappy with the scenario and the NWC members will meet on Wednesday to take a decision.
