FORMER President Goodluck Jonathan and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State as well as members of group within the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were conspicuously absent as the Presidential candidate of the party, former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, unveiled the party’s Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) in Abuja.
The two-in-one event started with the launch of three Books on the Presidential candidate of the party.
The books are “The Story of Atiku Abubakar”, “Landmark Constitutional Law cases in Nigeria (2004-2007). The Atiku Abubakar Cases” and “Restructuring as a Pathway to Unity and Development.”
However among those present at the gathering were Governors Bala Mohammed, (Bauchi), Aminu Waziri Tambuwal (Sokoto) Darius Ishaku (Taraba) Ifeayni Okowa, (Delta) Udom Emmanuel, (AKwa Ibom) Douye Diri, (Bayelsa) Godwin Obaseki, (Edo), Ahmadu Fintri, (Adamawa).
Others were Former Presidents of the Senate, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Anyim Pius Anyim, David Mark and former Speaker House of Representatives, Ghali Na’aba,
Acting National Chairman, Amb. Damagum and former National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus were also present.
