ZAMFARA: Two LGAS shut down over insecurity

THE Zamfara State Government has had to shut down two local government areas until further notice following persistent insecurity challenges faced in the state.The local governments affected are Anka and Bukkuyum.

In the same light, some roads leading to some towns and villages are also shut down.

The affected roads are: Colony to Lambar Boko road, Bakura to Lambar Damri road, Mayanchi-Daki Takwas to Gummi road, Daki Takwas to Zuru road, Kucheri- Bawaganga – Wanke road, Magami to Dangulbi road and Gusau to Magami road.

Also closed down are Danjibga and Bagega markets where it is alleged that animals belonging to suspected terrorists are said sold to unsuspecting residents.

Disclosing the measures today, the Commissioner of Information, Alhaji Ibrahim Magaji Dosara, said, “All movements are henceforth restricted in the aforementioned local governments and towns.”

He also mentioned that security personnel had been directed to deal ruthlessly with anybody found violating the restriction order.

According to the commissioner, the measures, were taken to facilitate and enable the gallant security men to conduct their operations without hindrances.

“By this announcement, security personnel are hereby directed to deal ruthlessly with any one found violating these orders”.

“Government sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused to the general public by these measures,” the commissioner concluded.
