THE PDP leadership in the State today established that a committee that will oversee the inauguration ceremony of the Governor-elect, Ademola Adeleke on November 27, 2022.
The caretaker, chairman of the Osun PDP, Akindele Adekunle, inaugurated the committee on Adeleke’s behalf. He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to discipline and urged members to refrain from any actions that might damage the party’s reputation.
He said that in order to make sure that all layers of the party were represented in the events that would bring in the new governor, the inauguration committee would collaborate with similar organizations at the local government level.
He said, “The party has painstakingly put together a Committee with utmost diligence that will take various tendencies into consideration in their assignment.
“There are sub-committees: finance, security, media, protocol, welfare, liaison, medical, budget and procurement. The Inauguration Committee is chaired by a one-time PDP South West zonal secretary, Rev Bunmi Jenyo, while the secretary is a legal practitioner, Barrister Hashim Abioye.”
Speaking with journalists, Jenyo urged the people of the state to keep supporting Adeleke’s upcoming administration while assuring them of a befitting ceremony.
