EKITI: First lady reaffirms govt position on quality education

THE wife of the Ekiti state governor, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to raising the state’s educational standards.

Dr. Oyebanji gave this assurance at her office when she welcomed some of her former colleagues and lecturers from the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti.

The first lady stated that her new role was a call to service and it is the Lord’s doing adding that she would not take it for granted.

She talked about her time at the Ekiti State University and the challenges she faced after moving to the University of Ibadan, describing it one of her best decisions.

She lauded the team for their unity and urged them to remember the governor, Biodun Oyebanji, and his team in their prayers at all times.

Prof. Yemi Adedokun, who led the team of professors to the first lady’s office, said in her remarks that the visit was made to show support for the first lady’s husband’s after his elections victory and inauguration as the state governor.
