THE All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, took an unusual turn in his campaigning today at the Chatham House in London when he designated select party members to respond to inquiries made of him.
In order to convince Nigerians living abroad that he should be elected in 2023, Tinubu visited Chatham House.
After his speech, which was live-streamed on Arise TV, some audience members questioned him about security, oil theft, education, and the economy, as well as how he intended to handle difficulties in those areas if he were elected president.
When the moderator urged Tinubu to react to the questions, he said that he would delegate some of his entourage to do so.
Wale Edun, a former commissioner for finance in the Lagos State government, was chosen by Tinubu to speak on his behalf when asked how he would improve the economy if elected.
The former Lagos State governor also asked the Director of Strategic Communication of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Dele Aleke, to respond to a question about oil theft and asked Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State to speak on how his (Tinubu-led government’s) approach to addressing insecurity.
