THE state governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, has asked his supporters to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards in order to cast their ballots for the All Progressives Congress in the elections of 2023.

He said that the projects executed in his first tenure were a clear indication of his competence, especially as one with the desire to alleviate the sufferings of the people.

Yahaya made the comments on yesterday while campaigning for office in Balanga North’s Talase, Gelengu, Sua, Degiri, and Bangu Bala Waja wards.

The governor had already visited Muhammad Danjuma, the Bala Waja, the paramount ruler of the Local Government, in his palace to inform him of his team’s presence there and ask for his cooperation in the run-up to the 2023 elections.

Danjuma told the governor that he would get massive support across the local government, following Yahaya’s developmental strides, “cutting across road construction, the recent recruitment of teachers by the State Teachers Commission in which Balanga Local Government came second in the list of those that benefited in the number of teachers newly recruited in the state.”

He asked residents of the state to vote the APC in large numbers at all levels of government.

Speaking in his own capacity, Jamil Gwamma, Coordinator of the APC Campaign Council in Gombe State, asserted that the PDP will lose because of its lack of performance in the past, highlighting the fact that “if a child who didn’t allow the mother to sleep, will certainly not sleep as well.”

To help the administration build on the achievements made during the first term, Gwamma urged citizens to support the APC in the upcoming election from top to bottom.
