ADEMOLA Lookman shared the accolades with his Atalanta teammates today, the day after he contributed to all the side’s goals in a 3-3 Serie A draw at Juventus.
The in-form Nigeria international scored twice and assisted another goal for Atalanta in the six-goal thriller at the Allianz Stadium.
Lookman gave Atalanta the lead in the fifth minute and then set up Joakim Maehle one minute after the break for the equaliser following Juventus’ two first-half goals from Angel Di Maria and Arkadiusz Milik.
The Super Eagles forward headed home Atalanta’s third goal in the 53rd minute to give them the lead again but Danilo levelled for the hosts 12 minutes later to rescue a point for Juventus.
“Big team spirit last night in Turin, @Atalanta_BC,” an obviously excited Lookman tweeted today.
The 25-year-old has been in red-hot form since the turn of the year, registering six goals and two assists in four appearances in Serie A and Coppa Italia in 2023.
Lookman has scored 11 Serie A goals this season, with only his compatriot Victor Osimhen scoring more with 13.
