NIGERIA’S Golden Eaglets have been drawn to face Morocco, South Africa and Zambia in Group B of the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
The draw for the tournament was held today in Algiers, with the competition scheduled for April 29 to May 19 in Algeria.
The top four teams from the continental championship will qualify to represent Africa at the FIFA U-17 World Cup billed for Peru in November and December.
Hosts Algeria are Group A along with Senegal, Congo and Somalia.
Group C is made up of Cameroon, Mali, Burkina Faso and South Sudan.
The top two teams from each group and the two best third-placed sides will advance to the quarter-finals.
Five-time world champions, the Golden Eaglets won the WAFU B zonal competition and are coached by 1985 FIFA U-17 World Cup-winning captain Nduka Ugbade.
The Nigerian side will play their group games in Constantine, while Group A will be based in Algiers and Group C in Annaba.
