THREE deaths were officially confirmed today after the attack of gunmen on Maiyanga village in Plateau State’s Bokkos LGA.
Two more victims were reported to have been shot during the attack that took place yesterday night.
The attack was confirmed by a Maiyanga community resident, Bulus Sule, to newsmen in Jos today. He said the injured were transported to the hospital to receive treatment.
Ilya, another resident in community condemned the murders of the locals.
He said that the security officers had been informed about the attack and that they had arrived in the neighborhood some hours after the shooters had left the site.
In order to prevent further attacks on the populace, he urged the authorities to step up security in the neighborhood.
