THE member representing Yagba in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Jimoh Omiata, is dead.
He was said to have died early this morning at a Lagos hospital where he was being treated for an undisclosed sickness.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Kogi State House of Assembly Speaker, Femi Olugbemi, wrote on his verified Facebook page, “Very sad, we lost a vibrant, articulate and outstanding lawmaker, Hon. Musa Jimoh Omiata, I sympathise with his immediate family, traditional rulers and people of Yagba East State Constituency, may Allah grant his soul perfect rest.”
Omiata, who hails from Igbagun community of the state’s Yagba Local Government, was a two-term member of the state House of Assembly and the first person to be elected twice to the House from the council area.
