VICTOR Osimhen has turned his attention to the Nigerian national team after weeks of excellent performances for Napoli.

The Super Eagles will face Guinea-Bissau in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tie this week and early next week.

The first game of the double-header is scheduled for Friday at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, with the reverse encounter billed for Bissau three days later.

Osimhen is the leading scorer in the qualifying campaign with five goals in two matches, including four in the record-breaking 10-0 win over Sao Tome and Principe last June, and he is expected to start both games against Guinea-Bissau.

The 24-year-old scored twice in Napoli’s 3-0 Serie A win over Torino on Saturday and is now in international football mode.

“Another win, another brace. Focus now on the game against Guinea-Bissau,” Osimhen tweeted last night.

“GOD is the greatest.”

Osimhen, who has registered 18 goals and five assists in 23 international appearances, is the leading scorer in Serie A this season as Napoli close in on their first Scudetto in 33 years.
