THE full complement of Super Eagles players will this evening be involved in a training session at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja ahead of Friday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying clash against Guinea-Bissau.
This will be the first time the 23 invited players will participate in the session, following the arrivals of Victor Osimhen last night and Zaidu Sanusi today.
Also for the first time since training began on Monday, the whole session will be held behind closed doors, with no access for reporters.
Previously, the first 15 minutes were open to media as the players did some light workout while they did serious tactical training after the open sessions.
The Super Eagles are seeking to return to AFCON after their unimpressive outing in the last edition in Cameroon last year in which they crashed out in the second round, their worst outing since 1982.
The three-time African champions will host Guinea-Bissau in Abuja from 5pm on Friday and face the same team in Bissau three days later.
Nigeria lead qualifying Group A with six points, two ahead of second-placed Guinea-Bissau.
Sierra Leone are third with one point, while Sao Tome and Principe are bottom with no points.
