ADEMOLA Lookman was back on the scoresheet last night as Atalanta defeated hosts Cremonese 3-1 in their Serie A clash.

The Super Eagles forward, who was in the squad that faced Guinea-Bissau in last week’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tie, netted Atalanta’s third goal in the win.

The former RB Leipzig star struck in the third minute of added time after replacing Luis Muriel at the start of the second half.

It was Lookman’s first goal in seven games since Atalanta’s 2-0 win over Sampdoria on January 28.

The 25-year-old now has 13 goals in 27 Serie A appearances for Atalanta, and he is the newcomer with the most goals in the Italian top flight this season.

Atalanta’s opponents Cremonese were without the injured Nigerian striker David Okereke while Super Eagles forward played the final 16 minutes.

In Belgium, the sensational Nigerian youngster Gift Orban continued his hot streak yesterday, hitting a brace in KAA Gent’s 5-0 Belgian Pro League win at Seraing.

The 20-year-old striker has now registered an impressive 14 goals and two assists in all competitions since joining Gent from Norway’s Stabaek at the end of January.

In Russia, former Super Eagles forward Victor Moses made his first appearance for Spartak Moscow in seven months last night.

The 32-year-old played the final 29 minutes of Spartak Moscow’s 0-0 draw with Akhmat in the Russian Premier League.

Moses was relieved to finally see action after undergoing surgery on his Achilles tendon and missing out since playing against Ural last August.

“Difficult game today but a well-earned point,” Moses tweeted.

“On a personal note delighted to return to the team today after seven months out. Thanks to everyone who’s supported me to get back on the pitch.”
