A Jos high court has reinstituted Hon. Nuhu Abok as Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly.
In October 2021, some members of the Plateau State House of Assembly impeached Abok.
He did, however, contest his impeachment in a long legal battle at the state high court which took about a one year, six month.
Justice M. L. Musa declared in his ruling that the impeachment was null and void.
The Court further awarded the sum of N20 million as cost of appearance and the sum of N138,000 as cost of filing the matter against the defenders.
