FLYING Eagles head coach Ladan Bosso has invited 39 players to the camp of the team in Abuja to continue preparations for this year’s FIFA U-20 World Cup taking place in Argentina.
The tournament was initially scheduled for Indonesia but will now be held in Argentina after FIFA withdrew the hosting rights from the Asian country over a row with Israel.
The world governing body consequently handed the rights to the South Americans, with assurances that the May 20 to June 11 schedule remains unchanged.
The Flying Eagles, who finished third at the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt last month, are one of four teams that will represent the continent at the tournament, along with Senegal, The Gambia and Tunisia.
