International leading copyright collecting management organisation, Confederation of Societies of Authors & Composers (CISAC), and the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), have firm up plans that will ensure that right owners in music copyright in Nigeria receive appropriate benefits for the public and commercial exploitation of their works.

Both organisation, on Friday, May 5, come to agreement after CISAC held critical discussions with the leadership of COSON on initiatives that will better the lot of music atistes who subscribed to COSON as a  copyright collecting management.

CISAC Regional Director for Africa, Samuel Sangwa, met with the COSON management, when the former visited the latter’s corporate headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos.

Present at the meeting were Chairman of the COSON Board, Tony Okoroji; COSON General Manager, Bernice Eriemeghe Ashibuogwu and Vincent Adawaisi, COSON Deputy General Manager.
