TEN abducted victims have been rescued by police in Zamfara State’s Kaura Namoda Local Government Area.
Yazid Abubakar, the state Police Public Relations Officer, revealed that the rescue yesterday followed intelligence reports by police operatives on search and rescue activities near Gusami Forest in Birnin Magaji LGA.
The victims told CP Mohammed Bunu, the state Commissioner of Police in Gusau, about their ordeal, saying they had been held captive since May 7, when the bandit kidnapped them and brought them to an undisclosed location.
A respite however came for them yesterday when security operatives found them after spending 10 days in the kidnappers’ den.
