ATALANTA forward Ademola Lookman, Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi and Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi are among the players currently in the camp of the Super Eagles preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying clash against Sierra Leone.
The Super Eagles will face the Leone Stars in Monrovia, Liberia on Sunday in a matchday 5 encounter on the road to the 2023 edition of AFCON billed for Cote d’Ivoire early next year.
The Nigerian players began arriving yesterday and by late evening the number had grown to 19 of the 23 invited for the fixture by head coach Jose Peseiro.
Also in camp are William Troost-Ekong of Watford, Leicester City pair Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi, Nantes winger Moses Simon and Leganes defender Kenneth Omeruo.
The home-based quartet of goalkeepers Victor Sochima of Rivers United and Olorunleke Ojo of Enyimba, as well as midfielder Divine Nwachukwu of Bendel Insurance and Ebube Duru of Rivers United are also in camp, according to the Super Eagles media team.
All four players were involved in the Nigeria Premier Football League championship play-offs yesterday, which Enyimba won to clinch their ninth domestic title.
Others in camp include Southampton midfielder Joe Aribo, Ajax defender Calvin Bassey and Hoffeinheim defender Kevin Akpoguma.
The Super Eagles lead Group A of the qualifying campaign with nine points from four matches, followed by Guinea-Bissau with seven and Sierra Leone with five.
