REAL Madrid have confirmed that they have signed Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund on a long-term contract.
The deal for the 19-year-old midfielder is believed to be worth around £103m, which makes Bellingham the most expensive English player of all time.
“Real Madrid CF and Borussia Dortmund have agreed on the transfer of the player Jude Bellingham, who will remain linked to our club for the next six seasons,” the Spanish giants announced today on their official website.
Real Madrid added that Bellingham will be presented at a ceremony in Madrid tomorrow, where he will hold a press conference.
The England international has had a rapid rise in the last three years, joining Dortmund from Birmingham City in 2020 and being voted the best player in the German Bundesliga last season.
In his three seasons in Germany with Dortmund, Bellingham made 132 appearances, scoring 24 goals and making 25 assists from central midfield.
He was Dortmund’s outstanding player last season as they lost the Bundesliga title to Bayern Munich on the last day of the campaign.
He played 42 times in all competitions and registered 14 goals and seven assists.
The youngster became an England regular in 2020 and was in the squad as they finished as runners-up up to Italy at Euro 2020 after losing the final on penalties.
He was also in the England squad to the Qatar 2022 World Cup and has 24 caps and one goal for the Three Lions.
