PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu landed in Paris, France, today for a two-day New Global Financial Pact summit.
The Nigerian President departed Abuja earlier today via Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport for the event, which is scheduled for June 22 and 23.
During his visit to Paris, the President will meet with international leaders to evaluate and sign a New Global Financial Pact that will prioritize vulnerable countries for support and investment in the aftermath of climate change, the energy crisis, and the COVID-19 epidemic.
According to Dele Alake, the President’s Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communication, and Strategy, Tinubu would look into ways to restore fiscal space to countries facing significant short-term financial challenges, particularly the most indebted.
The President accompanied by members of the Presidential Policy Advisory Council and other government officials is set to return on Saturday.
