THREE of the biggest clubs in England and indeed Europe have scheduled meetings with the representatives of Victor Osimhen to discuss transfer possibilities for the Napoli striker.
Nigeria international Osimhen has attracted serious interest across Europe after his spectacular campaign with Napoli, with him leading the club to their first Serie A title in 33 years.
The 24-year-old scored 31 goals in 39 appearances in all competitions last season, including 26 in Serie A that made him the top scorer in the league, the first African in history to achieve the feat.
The Daily Express has claimed today that Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool have set up meetings with Osimhen’s representatives scheduled for this week to hold talks.
United and Chelsea have been long-term admirers of the prolific striker, with Liverpool the latest English club to be eyeing the Super Eagles striker’s services.
Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have also been reported to be keen on adding Osimhen to their squads.
Osimhen’s contract at Napoli is set to end in 2025, and club owner Aurelio De Laurentiis has often indicated that he would love to extend the striker’s stay for many more years.
However, De Laurentiis is also believed to be willing to let Osimhen go if a staggering offer of around €150m is made for the player’s services.
Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille in September 2020 for a deal worth €80m and has registered 59 goals and 14 assists in 101 appearances.
