MANCHESTER United have unveiled their home jersey for the 2023/2024 campaign, with prices as high as £120 (about N113,000 at today’s exchange rate of N946 to £1).

The jersey was launched today on the club’s website, with several players in the men’s and women’s teams modelling it, among them Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Marcus Rashford and Casemiro.

As usual, the shirt is prominently in Manchester United’s traditional red, with a V-neck and black Adidas strips on the shoulder.

“In red, forever and ever. The new Manchester United 23/24 Home kit is a statement of commitment and unconditional love, a lifetime in red. Drawing design inspiration from Manchester’s industrial influences, the kit features a modern geometric industrial rose pattern taking from the cultural identity of the city, encapsulating the fans’ undying commitment and love for the club,” the club describes the new jersey.

Prices on the Adidas website range from £55 (about N52,900) for the children’s wear to £120 for adults in long sleeves.

Manchester United’s ownership status is still unresolved, with Qatari businessman Sheikh Jassim Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe making big bids to buy out the American Glazer family, who bought the club in a heavily leveraged deal in 2005.
