SAMUEL Chukwueze is on the verge of completing his move from Villarreal to AC Milan, as the Super Eagles forward is already in Italy.
The Nigeria international arrived in Italy today for his medical tests, after which he will sign the papers for the switch.
Chukwueze landed in Milan at around 1.30pm today and began his medical around 2pm, according to Italian football transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
The formalities are expected to be completed tomorrow, and the 24-year-old will then be formally announced as a new AC Milan player.
Chukwueze is believed to have cost Milan €25 million and he will sign a five-year contract.
He will become the latest summer signing for last season’s UEFA Champions League semi-finalists, after the arrivals of Noah Okafor and Ruben Loftus-Cheek among others.
According to Di Marzio, Chukwueze will not join Milan on their pre-season tour of the United States of America, where they will play Juventus on Friday and Barcelona next Wednesday.
Instead, he will train in Milan and await the squad’s return from USA ahead of the season’s kick-off in August.
