SUPER Eagles stars Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho combined for one of the goals tonight as Leicester City defeated Preston North End 3-0 at the King Power Stadium.

Iheanacho came on as a substitute to score Leicester’s second goal in the 76th minute, tapping home from close range from Ndidi’s pass as the Foxes stay on top of the Championship table.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall netted the two other goals either side of Iheanacho’s as Leicester City exploded into life in the second half after a goalless first period.

The Foxes have now matched the Championship record for the best start to a season after 10 games, with their 27 points from a possible 30.

While Iheanacho replaced Jamie Vardy in the 62nd minute to score his third goal in the Championship this season, Ndidi has now registered three goals and three assists in 13 appearances in the league and Carabao Cup from a more advanced role.

Leicester City top the table with 27 points, followed by Ipswich with 26 and Preston with 20 as the top two seek to break from the pack in the race of automatic promotion to the Premier League.
