THE Senate Correspondent for the Tribune Newspaper, Tijani Adeyemi, died yesterday in one of the National Assembly shuttle buses.

According to sources, the Tribune reporter boarded one of the shuttles from the main entrance, known as Mopol entrance, at 10 a.m., and by the time he arrived at the checkpoint, he had died.

All attempts to resuscitate him were futile, and he was pronounced dead when he arrived to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation’s clinic.

After being confirmed dead at the medical clinic, Adeyemi’s body was kept at the National Assembly’s clinic pending evacuation and burial.

His remains were laid to rest at the Gudu Cemetery in accordance with Islamic rites.
