TROOPS from the Joint Task Force North West Operation Hadarin Daji have neutralised two terrorists and rescued five abductees in Zamfara State as part of an escalated clearance operation against terrorists/bandits in the North-West states.
Captain Yahaya Ibrahim, the spokesperson for Operation Hadarin Daji, stated this in a statement yesterday
The army, according to him carried out a coordinated clearance operation on November 16 and 17 against terrorist enclaves at Tugan Gama, Tugan Hausawa, Tugan Nabaru, Yarsabia, and Daji Yanayin Kari in Zamfara State’s Anka Local Government Area.
The troops confronted and neutralized two armed terrorists during the operation, while others escaped with bullet wounds.
Similarly, troops were said to have responded quickly and efficiently to a distress call about an armed bandit attack on the Yarkoria settlement in Wuya District, Anka LGA.
The troops’ “superior firepower” forced the terrorists to abandon the kidnapped victims and flee.
“Five victims, which include a child, 2 females and 3 males, were successfully rescued and reunited with their families,” the statement said.
