THE Imo State Police Command has confirmed the heinous murder of Joe Ochulor, the traditional ruler of Otulu Amumara Autonomous Community in Imo State’s Ezinihitte-Mbaise Local Government Area, by gunmen.
According to Henry Okoye, the state police spokesman, the traditional ruler was kidnapped by gunmen on November 25, 2023, but his lifeless body was discovered less than 24 hours later along Mbutu Community road in the Aboh-Mbaise Local Government Area.
According to the statement, the Commissioner of Police, Danjuma Aboki, strongly denounced the tragic occurrence, promising that the command would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the perpetrators of the heinous crime are apprehended and face the full wrath of the law.
Following that, the police commissioner formed an investigation team to hunt out the culprits of the horrible act.
He urged the public to remain calm and assist the police by providing useful information that could aid in the arrest of the culprits.
