WILFRED Ndidi shone brightly today for Leicester City and provided an assist in their 2-1 victory at West Brom, who had Semi Ajayi in their starting line-up.
Kelechi Iheanacho was also in Leicester City’s starting line-up while Josh Maja scored West Brom’s goal.
Of the four Super Eagles stars involved in the Championship encounter, Ndidi was the most outstanding, brilliantly setting up Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to head home the opening goal in the 72nd minute.
The inch-perfect cross led to Ndidi’s fourth assist in 15 Championship appearances this season as he adapts to a more advanced role in midfield.
Maja came off the bench to pull West Brom level in the 89th minute with his first goal of the season but Leicester City had the last word as Dewsbury-Hall turned provider for Harry Winks to net the winner in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
Leicester City retained their spot at the top of the Championship table with the win and, most importantly, opened up an eight-point gap over third-placed Leeds United, while West Brom are fifth, 14 points adrift.
Iheanacho and Ajayi played the full game while Ndidi was taken off in the 87th minute, just two minutes before West Brom equalised and thought they had snatched a point.
