THREE persons were killed when suspected cultists attacked the Egbeh community in Rivers State’s Ahoada West Local Government Area.
The suspects are supporters of General Danger, an Iceland cult leader sought by security forces in the oil-rich state.
The victims, two men and a woman, were kidnapped and murdered before their bodies were dumped along the Ebiribia Road.
The incident yesterday is thought to have been retaliation for the victims apparently insulting General Danger’s mother. The trouble began when the two deceased men argued with the mother, who boasted that she would deal with them severely.
The woman who was killed alongside the two men was one of them’s lover.
The Rivers State Police Command spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko, stated that investigations have begun and that the assailants are being tracked.
In the meantime, General Danger’s mother has fled to an unknown location.
