SUPER Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has become a target for clubs from the English Premier League and other top leagues across Europe, including Juventus, following an impressive campaign with Atalanta.
According to Daily Mail today, the Super Eagles star has caught the eye of some unnamed heavyweights in England and across Europe after a brilliant first half of the season in Serie A.
The Nigeria international is believed to on the radar of Juventus and French club Nice, while a number of Premier League clubs are monitoring the 26-year-old ahead of the January transfer window.
Lookman took his tally this season to seven goals and three assists in Serie A last night after scoring the only goal in Atalanta’s 1-0 win over Lecce.
Atalanta are believed to be prepared to fend off interest in their key player in the next two windows as they plan to keep the quick forward for a long time.
A return to England where he was born would not faze Lookman, who has significant Premier League experience, having made close to 100 appearances their with spells at Everton, Fulham and Leicester.
Lookman is in the Super Eagles squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, which will be his first major tournament with Nigeria, almost seven years after winning the FIFA U-20 World Cup with England.
