THE governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the immediate termination of eight directors of the Kano State Internal Revenue Service (KIRS).
Their termination was announced by the Board Chairman, Sani Abdulkadir Dambo.
They were instructed to transfer all obligations to their subordinates in the statement.
According to the statement, “The affected directors include: Director Assessment, Muhammad Kabir Umar, Director Human Resource, Kabiru Magaji, Director Government Business, Ibrahim Sammani; Aminu Umar Kawu, Director Road and Other Taxes, and Muhd Auwal Abdullahi, Director Tax Audit, Investigation & Debt Management.
“Other Directors include Abubakar Garba Yusuf, Director of ICT, Hamisu Ado Magaji, Director of PAYE, and Bashir Yusuf Madobi, Director of Legal & Enforcement.”
He explained that the action was a component of the current administration’s continuous efforts to purify public services.
Dambo said “I am directed to inform you that the mentioned directors have been relieved of their responsibilities and are to hand over to their deputies immediately.”
