KWARA: Three siblings die of suffocation inside a car

THREE siblings of the same parents, a boy and two girls, died from suffocation inside a car parked in their residential quarters in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The incident occurred yesterday.

Their mother, Shade Silifat, who had gone out to buy noodles for their school meals for Monday, fainted due to the incident which occurred at No 8, Boluke Line, Zango-Kulende quarters in the Ilorin metropolis.

The event occurred at 2 p.m., yesterday when the children locked themselves in the automobile that their father borrowed from his sister.

Their mother noticed their sneakers outside the parked car and raised an alarm after forcing the car doors open.

The three children were then brought to Olutayo Clinic, which is near to their residence, for medical care.

However, the Medical Director, simply named as Dr Adeyemo, requested that they be transferred to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital in Ilorin, where they were pronounced dead.

The three siblings were then taken to a Muslim cemetery and buried according to Islamic customs.
